Typoe and I decided to do a name swap to change things up a bit. Its always refreshing to do different letters, he did a really basic sketch the night before and I ended up free-styling  on the spot. I had to mess around with my initial outline a bit but it came out alright.

Well thats the last of my photos from Art Basel. Cant wait to hit repeat on this one!

Its crazy how much coverage is already on the net from Art Basel in Miami, but my photos are still worth sharing! its hard to describe my trip out there because I dont think it has fully soaked in yet, just an unbeliveable experience. Im so grateful for the oppurtunity to get out there and paint amungst so many amazing people and to establish new friendships and connections. Heres my first batch of photos but I will be doing 2-3 more posts covering my trip. For all the artists out there if you want a hi res file of any of my photos I would be happy to send them your way just shoot me an email on my contact page.

I just finished a new series of paintings that I am very excited about! I’ve set up an online store at Cargoh and put the entire series on their marketplace for purchase. Since the holidays are just around the corner one of these paintings might be the perfect gift for that special someone ;) Visit my store HERE

“While working on many different projects over time, I usually find myself left with random pieces of wood and excess supplies. This is part of the inspiration for this new series of paintings.  For the most part, this series is an exploration of colour relationships and composition. A departure from large scale works, these pieces express a light-hearted sensibility towards abstraction. The details are read in the subtle nuances of a brush stroke, paint splatter or the frayed edge of a line of spray paint. Materials include Spray paint, Household latex, white out pen, krink ball point pen, and stencils.”

Its less than 24 hours until takeoff. I’m very excited to be apart of Primary Flight this year in Miami. Especially because I’ll be leaving the winter gloves and long underwear at home for a week. =)
